Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation works to ensure that every child in the U.S., especially those most at risk, grows up with dependable access to enough nutritious food to enable them to lead healthy, productive lives. As part of its commitment, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation wants to engage and reward students who have made a significant impact against hunger and are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalysts for innovative models and solutions to eliminate childhood hunger.

The Foundation is looking for students who are using their creativity, academic studies (like STEM), and organizational skills to help fight hunger in their communities. The Foundation would like to learn about the communities scholars serve and how they engage others in these efforts.

In addition to the scholarship and grant awards, top National winners will attend a three-day all-expenses-paid networking and recognition event where they will meet top global and national food, beverage, supplies, equipment and facilities management companies who support the Stop Hunger mission. Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships are open to students ages 5-25 (Kindergarten through graduate school) enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Applicants must meet the age requirement by October 5, 2023.
Applicants must have demonstrated ongoing commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States at least within the last 12 months. Added consideration is given to students working to fight childhood hunger.
All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States who reside in the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii only.
Volunteer services must be helping non-family members.
Employees of Sodexo are not eligible to apply for the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships, but they may refer family members who are not employees of Sodexo.
Previous National Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.
Previous Regional or Emerging Leader Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Honorees are eligible to apply.
The scholarship will only honor ONE individual applicant; therefore, group, sibling, or family applications will NOT be considered.
Each year, National Stephen J. Brady Scholarship winners are recognized at the Foundation’s annual fundraising event, the Sodexo Charity Classic Presented by PepsiCo. The event will be held on June 10th – 12th, 2024 at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida and winning scholars are required to attend this all-expenses-paid trip. The scholarship will be revoked if the Scholar cannot attend this trip. View video footage from previous Scholar winners and events here. Scholars are introduced to leadership representatives from top global and national food, beverage, supplies, equipment, and facilities management companies and encouraged to network and create new partnerships to further their anti-hunger work in the United States.
