About The Healthcare and Nursing Education Foundation:
The HNEF Scholarship Program provides academic financial assistance to individuals who demonstrate the desire and ability to pursue a professional nursing career in the Greater Houston community. You can read more about HNEF and their impactful work here: www.hnef.org.

Scholarships are available to college students who have applied for admissions into a nursing program and students already accepted into/enrolled in a BSN or advanced nursing program.

About the Scholarship Award:

This scholarship will be awarded for the 2024-25 academic year, beginning with the summer 2024 semester, and can be used for tuition expenses, fees, and books.

Undergraduate students are eligible to receive $3,000 per semester, up to a maximum of four (4) total semesters.

Graduate students are eligible to receive $200 per credit hour enrolled each semester, up to a maximum of $5,000 for the academic year. Graduate students can renew the scholarship each semester they are enrolled, through graduation from the nursing program.

Requirements to Apply:

Applicants must:
• Practice in the Greater Houston Area to begin their professional nursing career
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
