Celtic Valor Scholarship

For students who have served in the armed forces and possess the scholastic merit and willingness to continue their education all while exemplifying their core military values and the core values of UST; Goodness, Knowledge, Discipline & Community.

(1) Candidates must have a minimum 2.5 GPA; including fall semester of current school year. (2) Candidates must exemplify core values of UST. (3) Candidates must be serving or have served in any branch of service and submit proof (DD214.) (4) Candidates must submit at least one letter of recommendation from someone who can attest to the applicant’s character and/or any experiences they have had with the applicant. (5) Undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. (6)Candidates must answer required questions (see essay requirements.)

Essay Requirements:
• A typed essay no longer than 2 pages using Times New Roman, black font and, single-spaced.

Essay Should Address:
•How do you live the military values as a student at UST and in everyday life?
•Why did you choose the University of St. Thomas?
•What kind of volunteer work have you participated in at UST in the past year?
•In the next year, what is one significant thing you would like to accomplish that would positively impact the UST community?
